27/04 COUNCIL TAX REQUIREMENTS 2004/2005
It was proposed by Councillor Nutting, seconded by Councillor Roberts andRESOLVED:
1. That it be noted that the Council had calculated the following numbers and amounts for the year 2004/05 in Accordance with the Local Authorities (Calculation of Council Tax Base) Regulations 1992 ("the regulations")
(a) 33,815.10 being the number calculated by the Council, as its council tax base for the year ("the Borough Tax Base") pursuant to Regulation 3 of the Regulations.

2. That the following amounts be now calculated by the Council for the year 2004/05 in accordance With Sections 32 to 36 of the Local Government and Finance Act 1992 ("the Act"):-

(a) £44,580,178 being the aggregate of the amounts which the Council estimates for the items set out in Section 32(2)(a) to (e) of the Act (b) £33,851,980 being the aggregate of the amounts which the Council estimates for the items set out in Section 32(3)(a) to (c) of the Act (c) £10,728,198 being the amount by which the aggregate at 2(a) above exceeds the aggregate at 2(b) above, calculated by the Council, in accordance with Section 32(4) of the Act, as its budget requirement for the year (d) £6,008,349 being the aggregate of the sums which the Council estimates will be payable for the year into its general fund in respect of redistributed non-domestic rates, revenue support grant, additional grant, and its share of the surplus on the council tax and community charge collection funds. (e) £139.58 being the amount at 2(c) above less the amount at 2(d) above, divided by the Borough Tax Base (f) £885,217 being the aggregate amount of all special items referred to in Section 34(1) of the Act (g) £113.40 being the basic amount of its council tax for the year for dwellings in any part of its area to which no special item relates (calculated by deducting from the amount at 2(e) above the quotient of the amount at 2(f) above divided by the Borough Tax Base) (h) the basic amounts of council tax for the year for dwellings in those parts of the Borough to which a special item relates (calculated in accordance with Section 34(3) of the Act) being as follows:- |
