Councillor Bebb:

Minute 25/04 (Item 4) - 9 & 10 Main Road (Off Manor Park), Pontesbury, Shrewsbury - Personal and Prejudicial as he was against any development in Pontesbury until the sewerage issues are rectified. In accordance with paragraphs 8.7 and 8.8 of the Local Protocol for Councillors and Officers Dealing with Planning Matters, he made a statement on the application and then left the Chamber and took no part in the consideration and voting on the application.

25/04 APPLICATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT

The Development Control Manager submitted a schedule of applications for development with his recommendations detailed thereon. In addition to the objections and representations detailed on the schedule, the Committee also considered further schedules of late objections/representations received, copies of which are attached to the signed minutes, which were circulated at the meeting.

Members had made visits to the following sites prior to the start of the meeting:

  • 9 & 10 Main Road (Off Manor Park), Pontesbury, Shrewsbury

  • 4 Acton Burnell (Plot adjacent), Shrewsbury

  • Oakley Manor, Belle Vue Road, Shrewsbury

  • 6 Oak Street, Shrewsbury

  • Land adj to Moreton Cottages, Moreton Crescent, Shrewsbury

  • Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury (amended address)

RESOLVED:

That, subject to the amendments set out below, the recommendations of the Development Control Manager, as contained in the Schedule of Applications (a copy of which is attached to the signed minutes), be approved:

 

Item 10: 04/0418/MAS - Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury

Delegate approval to the Development Control Manager after expiry of the consultation period on the 29th April 2004

 

Item 11: 04/0128/F - Oakley Manor, Belle Vue Road, Shrewsbury

The Development Control Manager reported that since the preparation of the schedule of applications, amended plans had been received from the applicant which had resulted in the application being recommended for approval not refusal.

Members of the Development Control and Environmental Protection Committee agreed that Authority be delegated to the Development Control Manager to approve the application subject to further consultation being undertaken and subject to no further letters of objection raising issues not covered within the Committee report.

 

Item 12: 04/0250/F - 46 Alexandra Avenue, Shrewsbury

Application was withdrawn by the applicant.

 

Item 13: 04/0278/VAR - Bar Med, Lower Claremont Bank, Shrewsbury

Application was withdrawn by the applicant.

 

26/04 REPORT ON THE WEEKLY LIST OF PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED

Consideration was given to a report prepared by the Development Control Manager in which permission was sought to include details of Wards in the Weekly List of planning applications received.

RESOLVED:

That the Planning Applications Weekly List be amended to include Ward details for each application and the list be distributed electronically with immediate effect.
