1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN
To receive nominations for Chairman for the period to the Annual Meeting of the Council May 2005.
(Note: the Chairman of the Standards Committee must not be a member of Cabinet).
2. APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHAIRMAN
To receive nominations for Vice-Chairman for the period to the Annual Meeting of the Council in May 2003.
3. MINUTES – 27th May 2004
Recommendation:
That the Minutes of the meeting of the Standards Committee held on 27th May 2004 be confirmed as a correct record and be signed by the Chairman.
4. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE/NOTIFICATION OF SUBSTITUTES

To receive declarations of members' interests in any matters which are to be considered at this meeting and to receive any dispensations which will be relied upon.

6. ANNUAL AUDIT PLAN AND OPERATIONAL RISK REVIEW 2004/2005
To consider a report by the Head of Finance in relation to the Annual Audit Plan and Operational Risk Review for 2004/5.
Recommendation:
That the Annual Audit Plan and Operational Risk Review for 2004/5 be noted.
7. LOCAL GOVERNMENT OMBUDSMAN – ANNUAL LETTER – 2003/4
To consider the Annual letter for 2003/4 received from the Local Government Ombudsman in relation to complaints received against Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council and dealt with by the Ombudsman.
Recommendation:
That the Annual letter 2003/4 from the Local Government Ombudsman be noted.
8. LOCAL GOVERNMENT OMBUDSMAN – COMPLETED INVESTIGATION
To consider a report by the Local Government Ombudsman on an investigation into a complaint against Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council together with a Statement from the Council in relation to the report
Recommendation:
That the report by the Ombudsman be noted.
