Development of Land - Sundorne

Consideration was given to a report of the Housing Manager at Cabinet on 17th January 2005.
DECISION:
That subject to planning and Housing Corporation approval, the land in Council ownership off Sundorne Road be developed in two phases, the first phase as a development of 35 units of social rented and shared ownership properties to be owned by Severnside Housing, and the second phase following approval of the Local Development Framework, and that in order to proceed:
The District Valuer be appointed to negotiate the sale of land to Severnside Housing required for the first phase; and
Severnside Housing and Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council jointly appoint West Mercia Housing Association to project manage the development including the appointment of professional agencies and contractors in accordance with Severnside’s procurement policies.
The decision may be subject to scrutiny by the Call In Committee.
