On Friday the 12th March there will be a reception and a tour around the new Guildhall for the people of Frankwell and Mountfields in recognition of the "patience and understanding" during the building works.
Councillor Judith Williams says that
"All of our local residents and traders are welcome to drop in to the new Guildhall offices between 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm".
Following a request to Council leaders at the Question Time event earlier this week a general open day, so that people can see the new offices for themselves, will be arranged towards the end of June 2004.

On Friday 19th March 2004 The Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Town Clerk, Mace Bearers and Sword Bearer will parade from the Old Guildhall, via St. Alkmund's Square - Pride Hill - Pride Hill Shopping Centre - Frankwell Footbridge to the new offices. Keys to the old Guildhall will be formally handed over to Morris Properties and collected at the new offices from Galliers .
